Bauxite(4.5≤Al/Si＜5.5) price in Henan exceeds RMB500/t after military coup in Guinea; A00 aluminium ingot price grows by RMB70/t

According to the Shanghai Metals Market, bauxite(4.5≤Al/Si＜5.5) price in Henan has seen an increase of RMB 20 per tonne on Tuesday, September 7, to exceed RMB 500 per tonne. Due to the military coup in Guinea that has fuelled concerns over raw material supply required for aluminium smelting, bauxite price across the globe has witnessed a hike. China, being no exception, has also reported growth in bauxite prices on September 7. Bauxite(4.5≤Al/Si＜5.5) price in Henan has come in at RMB 510 per tonne, while bauxite(4.5≤Al/Si＜5.5) price in Shanxi is standing at RMB 460 per tonne by gaining RMB 10 per tonne. 

A00 aluminium ingot price in China has grown for the fourth day in a row by RMB 70 per tonne to stand at RMB 21,710 per tonne on Tuesday, September 7, learned SMM. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 21,690 per tonne and RMB 21,730 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 50-10 per tonne.

In Gongyi and Chongqing, primary aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 90 per tonne to settle at RMB 21,560 per tonne and RMB 21,720 per tonne, followed by the rise of RMB 80 per tonne in Foshan to peg at RMB 21,830 per tonne. In Shenyang and Linyi, A00 aluminium ingot price has expanded by RMB 75 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne, respectively, to close at RMB 21,650 per tonne and RMB 21,690 per tonne. In Hangzhou, aluminium price has climbed by RMB 55 per tonne to RMB 21,710 per tonne, while the price in Wuxi and Tianjin has grown by RMB 50 per tonne to RMB 21,700 per tonne and RMB 21,680 per tonne, respectively.

Aluminium alloy(A356) price has climbed by RMB 150 per tonne to stand at RMB 22,800 per tonne on September 7, with average prices likely to range between RMB 22,750 per tonne and RMB 22,850 per tonne, learned SMM. Meanwhile, aluminium alloys(ADC12) price and aluminium alloy(A380) price have remained restrained on Tuesday.
