Bauxite union to attend meeting with Ministry of Labour today

The Guyana Bauxite & General Workers’ Union (GB&GWU) says it has accepted an invitation from the Ministry of Labour to attend a meeting today at which the union expects to address matters of import.
The GB&GWU has indicated that its concerns at this meeting will be “upholding the sovereignty of this nation, enforcing the labour laws, respecting the rights of workers, and resolving outstanding issues,” according to a press release from the union.
