
According to Shanghai Metals Market, the prices of Bauxite (6.0≤Al/Si<7.0)Henan and Bauxite (4.5≤Al/Si<5.5)Henan have recorded a hike by RMB 20 per tonne each to stand at RMB 550 per tonne and RMB 440 per tonne on June 5. Earlier, the prices of Bauxite (6.0≤Al/Si<7.0)Henan and Bauxite (4.5≤Al/Si<5.5)Henan had recorded a climb on May 27 from RMB 500 per tonne to RMB 530 per tonne and from RMB 390 per tonne to RMB 420 per tonne, followed which the prices remained unchanged till June 4.

The prices of Bauxite (6.0≤Al/Si<7.0)Shanxi and Bauxite (4.5≤Al/Si<5.5)Shanxi, on the other hand, have remained restrained at RMB 540 per tonne and RMB 465 per tonne, as of June 5.
As far as other input costs are concerned, the prices of alumina, aluminium fluoride, cryolite, and also aluminium powder have registered no change as well.
Against this muted background, the A00 aluminium ingot price has also decided to record no change today, after the past six consecutive drops from RMB 14,350 per tonne to RMB 14,100 per tonne. The average prices are expected to remain the same as well between RMB 14,080 per tonne and RMB 14,120 per tonne. Spot aluminium contract is likely to be traded at a discount of RMB 10 per tonne to a premium of RMB 30 per tonne.

However, some of the major Chinese cities have seen a hike in aluminium ingot price. For instance, the price in Foshan, Wuxi, Chongqing, and Linyi has expanded by RMB 30 per tonne to RMB 14,190 per tonne, RMB 14,110 per tonne, RMB 14,130 per tonne, and RMB 14,180 per tonne. While the price in Gongyi, Hangzhou, and Shenyang has inched up by RMB 15 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to hover at RMB 14,025 per tonne, RMB 14,140 per tonne, and RMB 14,115 per tonne.
