Bauxite (4.5≤Al/Si＜5.5) price in Henan climbs RMB60/t to close at RMB490/t; Alumina spot price increases to RMB2698/t

According to the Shanghai Metals Market data, Bauxite (4.5≤Al/Si＜5.5) price in Henan has soared by RMB 60 per tonne after remaining restrained at RMB 430 per tonne since July 29. As of Tuesday, August 24, the hike has brought the price to RMB 490 per tonne, with average prices expected to range between RMB 480-500 per tonne.

Bauxite (4.5≤Al/Si＜5.5) price in Shanxi has also witnessed a rise of RMB 12.50 per tonne to come in at RMB 417.50 per tonne as of August 24. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 390-445 per tonne, found SMM.

Average alumina spot price in China has jumped by RMB 31 per tonne after remaining restrained at RMB 2,667 per tonne from August 20-23. So, according to SMM, alumina price has come in at RMB 2,698 per tonne as of Tuesday, August 24.

In Guizhou, average alumina price has surged by RMB 50 per tonne to stand at RMB 2,560 per tonne, followed by the hike of RMB 40 per tonne in Shandong to come in at RMB 2,710 per tonne. In Shanxi and Henan, alumina price has increased by RMB 35 per tonne and RMB 25 per tonne, respectively, to close at RMB 2,725 per tonne, while the price in Guangxi has inched up by RMB 10 per tonne to RMB 2,530 per tonne.

Backed on the growth in input costs, A00 aluminium ingot price has climbed by RMB 50 per tonne, marking the third consecutive day of rise. According to SMM, primary aluminium ingot price has settled at RMB 20,410 per tonne on August 24, with average prices estimated to range between RMB 20,390 per tonne and RMB 20,430 per tonne. The spot contract is likely to be traded at a premium price of RMB 30-70 per tonne.

Aluminium alloys prices have grown by RMB 100 per tonne, bringing the aluminium alloys (ADC12) price to RMB 19,950 per tonne and aluminium alloy (A380) price to RMB 21,150 per tonne, learned SMM.
