The University of Bahrain and the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) have joined forces to further research in the development of scientific uses of aluminium alloys in various vital fields. The agreement will provide significant chances for Bahraini researchers, allowing scientists, researchers, engineers, instructors, students, and technicians to benefit from CERN schools and programmes.
Dr Fouad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Birmingham (UoB), and Charlotte Lindbergh, Director of International Relations at CERN, signed the agreement. He also said that the relationship offers opportunities for combined research and development in the scientific use of aluminium alloys and integration of education and training with the national industry. CERN's School of Accelerators, School of Computing, European School of Physics, and Summer Student Programme are among them.
