
Assan Alüminyum, one of the world’s leading flat-rolled aluminium manufacturers, has joined the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative as a new Production and Transformation member, bringing the total number of members working toward a responsible aluminium value chain to 135.
Assan Alüminyum has been producing coil & sheet, foil, and pre-painted aluminium products since its establishment in 1988, and is now one of the three largest aluminium foil manufacturers in Europe with production capacity reaching up to 100 thousand tonnes. The total installed capacity of Assan Alüminyum is 300 thousand tonnes across production facilities located in Istanbul and Turkey.
The company offers its aluminium products to a variety of industrial sectors including packaging, distribution, construction, consumer durables, automotive and HVAC.
Assan Alüminyum operates with a vision of long-term value; hence, it constantly strives to become more environmentally sustainable. Its main aim is to reduce carbon footprint by producing clean energy at its renewable energy power plant, recycling inner and outer scrap at its in-house recycling facility, and by developing new energy efficiency projects every year.
