There may be a difference when calculating the price with respect to
import volume, carbon price, and benchmark emissions, as the embedded
formula may result in minor variations due to decimal rounding.
Therefore, the actual value may vary.
CBAM is applicable to trade volumes starting from 50 metric tonnes. For trade volumes below 50 metric tonnes, CBAM does not apply.

67 year old raises thousands of pounds for charity simply by recycling cans
1MINS READ
One man is believed to have collected nine million cans across a span of 24 years, send them for recycling and donate the entire earnings to charity.
Peter Raffle, a 67-year old retired ICI worker, never fails to pick up a discarded can whether it is aluminium or steel no matter where he is. Peter says, “I like to think it is helping in many ways - clearing litter, recycling and helping charities.”
The Ingleby Barwick pensioner is currently donating to South Cleveland Heart Fund that aims to raise £1m to enable them to upgrade an MRI scanner and replace another. He believes over the years he has generated several pounds for several different charities.
Peter himself has aortic stenosis which is his motivation to donate to this fund and has raised £270 till now just by recycling cans.
“I get a penny for each aluminium one. Steel tins are not as valuable - I would need to get 20 of them to get a penny,” says Peter. Still he never passes a discarded can without picking it up as he believes it is as good as passing a fallen penny on the floor.
