
The second evaluation of anti-dumping measures imposed on selected Chinese aluminium goods has been announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT). As a result, the anti-dumping duties on items with the codes 7604.10.10, 7604.10.90, 7604.21.90, 7604.29.10, and 7604.29.90 will be reviewed.

On September 28, 2020, MoIT announced the decision to levy anti-dumping taxes of 2.49 per cent to 35.58 per cent on selected aluminium goods originating in China. In January 2019, the government launched an inquiry into the anti-dumping case. The aluminium industry in the United States was determined to be harmed as a result of the study. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is the Vietnamese government ministry in charge of industry and trade advancement, promotion, governance, regulation, management, and growth.
The main cause was shown to be the dumping of Chinese aluminium goods, with margins ranging from 2.49 per cent to 35.58 per cent. Following the initial evaluation, the ministry decided to keep applying anti-dumping penalties on specific Chinese aluminium goods, ranging from 4.39 per cent to 35.58 per cent.
