
The United States aluminium plates, sheets and bars exports to Mexico stood at 26,500 tonnes in March 2021, reflecting a month-on-month increase of 4,700 tonnes or 21.56 per cent, found the Shanghai Metals Market data. In February, however, the US aluminium flat rolled products exports to Mexico stood 8.79 per cent lower at 21,800 tonnes than 23,900 tonnes in January.

On a year-on-year calculation, the United States plates, sheets and bars exports to Mexico in March 2021 stood almost flat compared to 26,900 tonnes.
In Q1 2021, the total aluminium plates, sheets and bars exports from the US to Mexico amounted to 72,200 tonnes, down by 4,900 tonnes or 6.36 per cent from 77,100 tonnes during the same period last year.
The United States total aluminium exports to Mexico (including aluminium crude metals and alloys and aluminium scrap) came in at 56,300 tonnes in March 2021, up 23.46 per cent from 45,600 tonnes month-on-month and 5.04 per cent from 53,600 tonnes year-on-year.
Total exports in Q1 stood at 147,000 tonnes, reflecting a downfall of 3.92 per cent from 153,000 tonnes a year ago.
