The export of aluminium plates, sheets and bars from the United States for January 2022 reflects a month-on-month downfall. In January 2022, US exported a total of 33,100 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars, which on a month-on-month scale dwindled by 7,400 tonnes or 18.27 percent from 40,500 tonnes in December 2021.
In December 2021, the total amount of aluminium plates, sheets and bars exported from the United States closed at 40,500 tonnes, depicting a month-on-month plunge of 20.43 percent or 10,400 tonnes.
On a year-on-year calculation, there was a huge downfall of 22,800 tonnes or 40.78 percent from 55,900 tonnes in January 2021. In January 2022, the amount of aluminium plates, sheets and bars exported from the United States stopped at 55,900 tones.
For the entire year of 2021, the amount of aluminium plates, sheets and bars shipped from the United States was recorded at 626,000 tonnes.
In January 2022, US exported the highest amount of plates, sheets and bars to Canada. The amount was recorded at 19,400 tonnes, which on a month-on-month basis reflected a drop down of 1.57 percent or 300 tonnes from 19,100 tonnes in December 2021.
Also on a year-on-year forefront, Canada’s shipment of aluminium plates, sheets and bars to the United States highlighted a downfall of 23.01 percent or 5,800 tonnes from 25,200 tonnes in January 2021. In January 2022, the amount had totalled at 19,400 tonnes.
In terms of aluminium plates, sheets and bars import to the United States, the country shipped a total of 112,000 tonnes in January 2022, which on a month-on-month basis showed a hiked of 3,000 tonnes or 2.75 percent from 109,000 tonnes in December 2021. On a year-on-year scale, there was jump of 33.17 percent or 27,900 tonnes from 84,100 tonnes in January 2021.
