At the Paris Packaging Week, Giddings will be presenting on the UK Aerosol Recycling Initiative (UKARI), which has contributed to the national aerosol recycling performance. Addressing the broad and spread-out base of the programme, he commented, “Paris Packaging Week provides the chance to share those early lessons and invite more brands to be part of the future.”

Recent trial activities to gauge the impact of campaigns on recycling approach will be addressed in Alupro’s presentation of “Spray, squirt and shake: the key to aerosols recycling.”

Collaborating with SUEZ recycling and recovery UK (SUEZ), the project has been implemented in 4 trial areas in the UK.

During the session, Giddings will share early findings from the trials, using the data to underline the direct link between consumer education and improved capture rates. He will introduce the new materials developed through the project, outline the next phase of work, and explain how brands can take part.

Regarding the session, Giddings mentioned, “There is increasing pressure across the aerosol supply chain to show real progress on recycling. Our work with UKARI shows that education and awareness are central to driving lasting behavioural change.”

The event will feature how early involvement in collaborative, sector-led initiatives can deliver worthwhile outcomes for businesses while contributing to broader sustainability objectives.
