The 3rd Global Bauxite Conference 2017 which is poised to open its doors in Jakarta, Indonesia from June 14-15 will be one of the biggest mineral industry events this year. The global congregation platform will enable industry players, including miners, traders, smelters, investors, government officials from across the world discuss key industry issues while conducting business networking in an efficient manner.

The global bauxite industry has witnessed a significant change since the beginning of 2014. First Malaysia overtook Indonesia as a key bauxite exporter, and then it lost its position to Guinea.

Since the beginning of 2016, Malaysia has banned bauxite mining, which paved way for Australia and Guinea to make the most of the lost opportunity.

At the start of 2017, Government of Indonesian made the speculations come true, about easing export of mineral ores. The 3rd Global Bauxite Conference 2017 aims to focus on this changing dynamics allowing industry players to brainstorm the impact of the same on the global bauxite trade.
