Solex Energy, a prominent player in India's solar energy sector, has embarked on a transformative journey to significantly boost its manufacturing capacity. The Surat-based company has forged strategic partnerships with Chinese entities GMEE SC Solar and ATW to procure state-of-the-art manufacturing lines, a move that aligns with its ambitious growth plans.
{alcircleadd}In a decisive step towards elevating its solar module production, Solex Energy has signed agreements with GMEE SC Solar and ATW. These collaborations will bring advanced manufacturing lines equipped with comprehensive automation to Solex Energy's production facility in Tadkeshwar, Gujarat. This initiative is pivotal for increasing the company’s solar module manufacturing capacity from the current 700 megawatts (MW) to an impressive 1.5 gigawatts (GW).
The new production lines feature high-speed capabilities that will enable Solex Energy to manufacture high-efficiency N-Type TopCon modules and Heterojunction Solar Cells (HJT) technology-based modules. These advanced technologies are expected to significantly enhance production capacity, addressing the growing global demand for premium-quality solar modules.
A crucial component in this technological upgrade is the use of advanced aluminium panels. Aluminium’s lightweight, non-corrosive, and highly recyclable properties make it an ideal material for solar modules. Its application in N-Type TopCon and HJT modules is essential for enhancing durability and efficiency, thereby setting new industry standards.
Chetan Shah, Chairman and Managing Director of Solex Energy, highlighted the transformative impact of integrating advanced automation and artificial intelligence (AI) into the production process.
"By integrating advanced automation and artificial intelligence (AI), we are setting new standards for quality and efficiency in PV module production. This move aligns with our vision for FY 2025–26 to expand our production capacity to cater to the growing global demand for high-quality made-in-India modules," stated Shah.
Through this strategic partnership, Solex Energy is not only strengthening its position in the Indian solar energy market but also demonstrating its readiness to meet the burgeoning global demand for renewable energy solutions. The collaboration defines the company's dedication to innovation and sustainability, paving the way for a greener, more energy-efficient future.
