
According to Shanghai Metals Market, the prebaked anode price in the east has recorded a decline of RMB 130 per tonne to RMB 2,850 per tonne on December 2, followed by a month-long restraint at RMB 2,980 per tonne. Even throughout October, the price remained unchanged at RMB 3,030 per tonne until registered a drop on November 1 to RMB 2,980 per tonne.

The markets in the central and southwest China have also witnessed a decrease of RMB 130 per tonne and RMB 90 per tonne in the prebaked anode price to RMB 2,910 per tonne and RMB 3,330 per tonne. In the northwest, however, the price has shown no sign of change from its month-long price of RMB 3,550 per tonne.
The A00 aluminium ingot price, on the other hand, has extended its growth by RMB 60 per tonne to RMB 14,050 per tonne, primarily attributing to limited supply in the market due to continued decline in the social inventories of primary aluminium to 720,000 tonnes, as of Monday, December 2. Today’s average prices of A00 aluminium ingot are expected to range between RMB 14,030 per tonne and RMB 14,070 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 50-90 per tonne.

Foshan and Wuxi have seen the highest rise in the aluminium ingot price by RMB 80 per tonne to RMB 14,020 per tonne and RMB 14,070 per tonne, followed by Shenyang, Chongqing, and Tianjin where the ingot price has climbed up by RMB 65 per tonne and RMB 60 per tonne respectively to stand at RMB 14,065 per tonne, RMB 14,040 per tonne, and RMB 14,060 per tonne. While Linyi, Hangzhou, and Gongyi have also seen growth, the aluminium ingot price there has come in at RMB 14,080 per tonne and RMB 13,975 per tonne, respectively.
Backed on the growth in A00 aluminium ingot price, the price of aluminium alloy (A356) has also registered a growth of RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 14,750 per tonne. But the prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have remained unchanged at RMB 14,750 per tonne and RMB 15,650 per tonne, respectively.
