
This week, during April 17-21, all three Indian aluminium giants – NALCO, Hindalco, and Vedanta have elevated their aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices. Starting with NALCO, the company hiked its aluminium prices by INR 10,100 per tonne since April 7. In two-week time, its aluminium ingot price escalated from INR 220,650-224,150 per tonne to INR 230,750-234,250 per tonne as of April 21.

Aluminium wire rod price leaped from INR 226,650-231,000 per tonne to INR 236,750-241,100 per tonne, and the aluminium billets price from INR 225,100-227,750 per tonne to INR 235,200-237,850 per tonne. NALCO expanded its aluminium prices over the past two weeks in response to the LME aluminium price rally from US$2,300.50 per tonne on April 6 to US$2,410 per tonne on April 20.
Hindalco back-to-back increased its aluminium prices this week, during April 18-21. Over a week, Hindalco’s aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices experienced a raise of INR 7,500 per tonne. That brought the company’s aluminium ingot price to INR 230,750 per tonne versus INR 223,250 per tonne a week ago (April 14).
Hindalco’s aluminium wire rod price amounted to INR 242,750 per tonne on April 21from INR 235,250 per tonne on April 14, and billets price grew from 237,350 per tonne to INR 244,850 per tonne.
Vedanta’s aluminium prices experienced an escalation of INR 5,500 per tonne through the week. From INR 224,250-238,250 per tonne last week, April 15, Vedanta’s aluminium ingot price grew to INR 229,750-243,750 per tonne as of April 21.
Veanta’s aluminium wire rod price increased from INR 232,750-240,250 per tonne to INR 238,250-245,750 per tonne, and the billets price climbed from INR 232,750 per tonne to INR 238,250 per tonne.
