LME aluminium price drops by 0.60% to US$2,888/t; SHFE price declines by US$69

Three-month LME aluminium opened at US$2,941 per tonne yesterday and closed at US$2,903 per tonne, a decrease of 0.89 percent.

LME aluminium price plunges by 0.60% to US$2,888/t; SHFE price plunges by US$69

On Monday September 27, LME aluminium cash (bid) price dropped by US$17.5 or by 0.60 percent to stand at US$2,887.50 per tonne. The LME official settlement price also subsided by US$17.5 or by 0.60 percent to close at US$2,888 per tonne. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price settled at US$2,903 per tonne and US$2,904 per tonne. December 22 bid price settled at US$2,777 per tonne and the offer price for the same day was recorded at US$2,782 per tonne.

LME aluminium opening stock for September 27 closed at 1273750 tonnes. Live warrants closed at 687700 and cancelled warrants settled at 586050.

For Monday, September 27, the LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price was recorded at 2891.44.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

For Tuesday September 27, the benchmark aluminium SHFE declined by US$69 per tonne to stand at US$3,495 per tonne.

The most-traded SHFE 2111 aluminium closed down 2.01 percent to RMB 22725 per tonne, with open interest down 10650 lots to 282315 lots.

Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2111 aluminium contract fell to RMB 22,575 per tonne after opening at RMB 22,800 per tonne, and closed at RMB 22,655 per tonne, down RMB 305 per tonne, or 1.33 percent.
