ISRI, iScrap App agreement provides recyclers with new marketing opportunities

The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) announced Friday last week that it has added iScrap App to its list of affinity programs. This opens the door for ISRI members to access expert advice on marketing their business, profiles on the iScrap App directory, and a discount for its premium service.

“Through our Member Affinity Program, ISRI is constantly looking to bring increased value and new benefits to its membership,” said Robin Wiener, president of ISRI. “In addition to discounted equipment, insurance, supplies, shipping, and other perks, ISRI members will now benefit by being able to rely on the marketing strategists and having their business listed on iScrap App at a discounted rate. This provides a significant advantage over non-ISRI members.”

iScrap App was developed by a scrap yard owner, and ISRI member, with the sole goal to connect peddlers and commercial scrap customers to help increase industry profits. All ISRI members who receive metal scrap will now receive a free basic listing in the app that identifies them as an ISRI member. In addition, members will receive a discount of up to $180 per year, for the app’s premium service which includes an enhanced profile listing, marketing tips and consultation, industry news and market information, and more.

“As a scrap yard owner I knew that ISRI always had the best for the recycling industry in mind; then when I learned that the iScrap App would be able to become an Affinity Program Member with ISRI that shows that not only is ISRI moving forward, but iScrap is too,” said Tom Buechel, owner of the iScrap App.
