
On Saturday, September 18, Hindalco Industries Limited continued to increase its aluminium products prices, bringing its aluminium wire rod price to INR 258,100 per tonne. That was an increase of INR 3,250 per tonne or 1.28 per cent from INR 254,850 per tonne on September 16.

Hindalco’s aluminium billets price also saw a hike of INR 3,250 per tonne from INR 250,850 per tonne to INR 254,100 per tonne as of September 18.
The Company’s aluminium ingot price came in at INR 247,000 per tonne with effect from September 18, compared to INR 243,750 per tonne on September 16.
Hindalco Industries Limited links its aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices to the three-month futures of aluminium on the London Metal Exchange, which grew on Friday, September 17, by US$46 per tonne to US$2,915 per tonne. On a month-on-month calculation, the price stood up by US$282 per tonne from 2,633 per tonne, and on a year-on-year basis, it was higher by US$1,171.50 per tonne than US$ 1,743.50 per tonne.
Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
