Hindalco Industries reduces its aluminium products price by INR 5,500/t
Hindalco Industries Limited has cut its aluminium products price by INR 5,500 per tonne. With effect from Tuesday, 10 August 2021, aluminium billets and wire rods prices have come in at INR 227,100 per tonne and INR 231,100 per tonne. This is down by more than 2% from INR 232,600 per tonne and INR 236,600 per tonne on August 7.
Aluminium ingots price stand at INR 220,000 per tonne on Tuesday, 10 August 2021, reflecting a drop of INR 5,500 per tonne from INR 225,500 per tonne on August 7.
The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price stood at US$ 2547 per tonne on August 9 from US$ 2618.5 per tonne on August 6.
Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
