Hindalco Industries: Aluminium billets price increases by INR 2,000/t to INR 225,100 per tonne on July 29
Hindalco Industries Limited has continued to hike its aluminium products price. With effect from Thursday, 29 July 2021, aluminium billets and wire rods prices stand at INR 225,100 per tonne and INR 229,100 per tonne. That marked a growth of INR 2,000 per tonne from INR 223,100 per tonne and INR 227,100 per tonne on July 24.
Aluminium ingots price has come in at INR 218,000 per tonne on Thursday, 29 July 2021, from INR 216,000 per tonne on July 24, marking a hike of INR 2,000 per tonne.
The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price stood at US$ 2516 per tonne on July 28 from US$ 2497.5 per tonne on July 27.
Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
