Hindalco Industries: Aluminium billets and wire rods prices rise by INR 4,250/t

Hindalco Industries Limited has raised its aluminium products price by 2%. With effect from Saturday, 24 July 2021, aluminium billets and wire rods prices stand at INR 223,100 per tonne and INR 227,100 per tonne, a jump of INR 4,250 per tonne from July 20’s price of INR 218,850 per tonne and INR 222,850 per tonne.

Aluminium ingots price registered a hike of INR 4,250 per tonne on Saturday, July 24, standing at INR 216,000 per tonne from INR 211,750 per tonne on July 20.

The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price stood at US$ 2492 per tonne on July 23 from US$ 2449 per tonne on July 22.

Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
