
Hindalco Industries Limited increased its aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices for the second straight day on Saturday, November 13. That brought the company’s aluminium ingot price to INR 233,000 per tonne, up by INR 2,500 per tonne from INR 230,500 per tonne on November 12.

Hindalco’s aluminium wire rod price also saw a rise of INR 2,500 per tonne on November 13 from INR 241,600 per tonne to INR 244,100 per tonne. Aluminium billets price came in at INR 243,600 per tonne versus 241,100 per tonne on November 12.
Hindalco Industries Limited links its aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices to the three-month future of aluminium on the London Metal Exchange, which on Friday November 12, closed the week 1.15 per cent or US$30.50 per tonne higher at US$2,676 per tonne. However, on a month-on-month calculation, the price still stood down by US$376 per tonne from US$3,052 per tonne.
Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
