Glencore Develops Mineral Processing and Refining Plants in Indonesia

Glencore Xstrata Plc (GLEN), multinational company engaged in mining, oil and gas and commodity trade sector, will construct mineral processing and refining plants in Indonesia, if the government realizes mineral export ban next year.
MS Hidayat, the Minister of Industry, said Glencore is interested in developing smelters for mineral commodities in East area of Indonesia. “They plan (to build smelters for) copper but mostly nickel and bauxite,” Hidayat said after having a meeting Ivan Glasenberg, Chief Executive Officer of Glencore Xstrata in his office.
