Gershow offers donation scrap to Westhampton Beach Robotics Team

The Westhampton Beach Robotics team members recently took advantage of a donated scrap by Gershow Recycling of Medford as they aim to build a 130-pound robot in next 6 months.
Gershow says their students visited recently their Medford site and they chose up aluminum scrap to use for building their robot.
The team of Westhampton Beach Robotics plans to participate in the upcoming Long Island For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology competition with their robot, "a national program that challenges teams of students and their mentors to design and build a 130 pound robot in a six-week timeframe using a standard kit of parts and a common set of rules."
