Gamme Telco, a division of Group Mitjavila, has unveiled its newly developed all-aluminium solar carport named Electra Design 3 for residential and commercial application. The uniqueness of this carport is it generates solar power while providing shelter to the parked cars, besides being fully customisable and compatible with standard PV modules.

The all-aluminium frame is fully recyclable and backed by a 5-year warranty.
Company president Frédéric Arpin explained, “No special modules are required, as we adapt the structure to fit 99 per cent of the panels available on the market, typically between 30 mm and 35 mm thick.”
This flexibility is central to its design. Every installation can be tailored to the buyer’s preferred panels or layout. Arpin added, “The dimensions are flexible. We tailor the structure to the customer’s modules and, if necessary, cut profiles to size for last-minute custom orders.”

The structure is fully manufactured in France, where Gamme Telco designs, extrudes, coats, and assembles each unit before delivery. Well, the final assembling of this product is simple if given instructions are followed by consumers, similar to assembling Ikea furniture.
The system comes in multiple sizes, including models that support up to 30 PV panels of 500 W each and shelter as many as four vehicles. Units can be combined to cover larger areas. Both freestanding (îlot) and lean-to (adossé) versions are available.
