Huawei’s Matepad with sleek aluminium body is a perfect blend of premium and performance

EDITED BY : 3MINS READ

Huawei’s MatePad SE 11 arrives as a tablet shaped around comfort, everyday practicality and a dash of refinement. The aluminium frame is the first thing that stands out. It feels reassuringly solid and carries a level of finish rarely seen in its price bracket. The clean, well-cut edges add to its tidy appearance and show that care has been taken in how the device has been put together.

The 11-inch Full HD+ display continues to focus on ease of use. It comes with low blue light and flicker free certification, both of which are designed to make longer sessions less tiring on the eyes. That makes a noticeable difference during reading, film watching or even when children are using it for extended periods. It also reflects Huawei’s wider attempt to build devices that suit the whole family, not just one type of user.

Inside, the MatePad SE 11 runs on the Kirin 710A. It is not built to tackle demanding games, but for most daily tasks, it performs smoothly. Browsing, streaming, light multitasking and casual gaming all move along without any real trouble. The processor choice makes sense given the tablet’s aim: to offer steady, reliable performance for typical day-to-day activity rather than high-end graphics work.

Battery life strengthens its case further. The 7,700 mAh unit comfortably lasts a full day, and the 22.5W fast charging keeps downtime brief. One small but helpful touch is reverse charging, which lets the tablet power up smaller devices like a phone or a pair of earbuds. It is the sort of feature that becomes valuable when travelling or when a charger is not close at hand.

The quad speakers contribute to a more enjoyable entertainment experience. Sound comes through clearly and stays balanced, even at higher volumes. Families also get the benefit of Huawei’s Kids Corner, a dedicated space where parents can manage content and screen time. It helps tailor the tablet for younger users while keeping parental control front and centre.

The cameras on both front and back support video calls, online classes and communication, providing smart visuals like any high-end photography component.
