DFV, an Italian company that paints wood-effect aluminium extrusions and laminates, is extending its footprint in Brazil by constructing a second production in Içara, Santa Catarina. The new entity will concentrate on the market for high-end wood-effect finishes and RAL paints (an international colour system used primarily in industry and architecture to standardise and identify particular colours).

The plant will be constructed on an 8 thousand m2 plot of land, with plans to expand by another 4 thousand m2 until 2027. The site was selected strategically for its proximity to aluminium profile suppliers and its advantageous location on the banks of the BR-101, which provides access to numerous towns and regions around the nation.
DFV intends to generate 64 direct and 173 indirect jobs, earning R$22 million in extra income at the start of operations and R$38 million over the following seven years. The facility will service the Brazilian states of Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, and other South American nations. There is also the potential of shipping merchandise to the Northeast of Brazil. Construction started in July and is expected to be completed in April 2024.
The DFV Group, formed in 1972 in Italy, includes manufacturing facilities in many Italian towns and units in Australia and Brazil. Ezy Colour, a Brazilian manufacturer in So Paulo, employs roughly 140 people and makes approximately R$ 80 million each year.
