
High Court has set February 5, 2018, to give a ruling on in a suit filed against Ashanti Regional Minister by Exton Cubic Group over the seizure of their mining equipment. The Attorney General yesterday explained to the High Court Human Rights Court Division that the State needs more time in Exton Cubic suit against the minister.

Exton Cubic had filed a suit against the Ashanti Regional Minister and the District Chief Executive of the Atwima Mponua District on August 20, 2017 for seizure of their mining equipment.
The Ashanti Region Minister has also confirmed that minister will release seized equipment belonging to company’s sub-contractor, Ibrahim Mahama’s Engineers and Planners (E&P) if officially informed by the Attorney General department.
Government has decided to release the seized mining equipment belonging to Exton Cubic following the cancellation of revocation order of bauxite mining lease.
