Collector issues guidelines for bauxite mining trucks in Goa, India

The order has also outlined the time schedule to be followed by the trucks. The trucks will be allowed to come out from the mines between 9am and 12.30pm and between 2pm and 3.30pm.
Besides, the order has laid down the following conditions for movement of trucks.
"The truck owner shall follow the conditions as imposed under the Goa (Prevention of Illegal Mining, Storage and Transportation of Minerals) Rules, 2013. The movement of the trucks will be controlled by the Electronic Token Issue Machine supplied by the mining companies to the policemen on duty at the mine gate. The police personnel shall issue a computerized printed token to each truck/person coming out from the mines which will be verified by the supervisory staff time to time working in that area. At the end of the day the police personnel will provide a copy of the list of trucks coming from the mines to the mine owner and a copy to the DySP (Traffic). The tyres of the mining trucks coming from the mining area shall be washed before advancing the tar road and shall take full precautions that mud carried by the tyres of the trucks from the mining area is not deposited/spilled on the tar road surfaces making the tar road slippery and unsafe for the public," the order dated November 1, states.
The directions will be further reviewed on November 20, the order states.
