Chinese aluminium scrap imports rise 28.61% YoY in November 2016

According China's General Administration of Custom’s report, china’s imports of aluminium scrap increased by 28.61 per cent year-on-year to 198,160 tons in November 2016.

In November 2016, total aluminium scrap imported by china was at 220,000 metric tons up 26.1 per cent YoY.

China imported 1,739,488 tons of aluminium over the period from January to November 2016. The YTD scrap import jumped by 10.1 per cent YoY to 1.91 million metric tons, according to china’s official data.

From January to November 2016, China’s top five aluminium scrap providing countries are The United States, Hong Kong, Australia, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom.
