
According to Shanghai Metals Market, stocks of aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China drooped by 4,300 tonnes from a week ago to 193,800 tonnes as of Thursday April 1. Aluminium billet shipments increased by 200 tonnes on the week to 66,000 tonnes.

{alcircleadd}Inventories of aluminium billets in Huzhou saw the highest drop. The stocks Huzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou reduced by 4,000 tonnes, 3,300 tonnes and 1,600 tonnes from last week to stand at 11,000 tonnes, 49,700 tonnes and 18,600 tonnes as of Thursday, 01 April 2021.
But the aluminium billets inventories in Foshan and Nanchang rose slightly. The stocks stood at 101,800 tonnes and 12,800 tonnes, an increase of 1,500 tonnes and 3,000 tonnes from 100,300 tonnes and 9,800 tonnes on March 25.
