China’s aluminium billet stocks decline some 4,800 tonnes; aluminium alloys (A356) price up RMB50/t

Stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China declined some 4,800 tonnes from Thursday February 14. Aluminium billet inventories now stood at 164,500 tonne as of Thursday February 21, Shanghai Metals Market data showed. Limited cargoes arrived at warehouses and this accounted for the decrease in aluminium billet stocks.

Compared to last week, In Foshan, Guangdong and in Wuxi, Jiangsu, the billet stocks reduced 9,00 tonnes and 1,300 tonnes to stand 89,000 tonnes and 27,700 tonnes as of today. In Changzhou, Jiangsu, stocks fell 1,000 tonnes to 22,000 tonnes, while stocks in Huzhou, Zhejiang and in Nanchang, Jiangxi declined 1,800 tonnes and 6,200 tonnes to stand at 10,000 tonnes and 15,800 tonnes.

The price of aluminium alloys (A356) increased RMB50 per tonne or 0.36 per cent on Thursday, February 21. The average price increased from RMB14050 per tonne to RMB14100 per tonne today. Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price remained unchanged at RMB 14,800 per tonne.

The prices of aluminium alloy (ZLD102) and aluminium alloy (ZLD104) rose RMB50 per tonne to stand at RMB14150 per tonne and RMB14100 per tonne today.
