
As updated by Shanghai Metals Market, inventories of aluminium billet in China continued to decline for the seventh consecutive week as consumption was brisk. Stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China stood at 145,600 tonnes in the week ended April 23, a decrease of 19,300 tonnes from the previous week.

Inventories of aluminium billet in Foshan, Wuxi, and Changzhou came in at 60,800 tonnes, 40,480 tonnes, and 22,850 on Thursday, down 8,800 tonnes, 9,960 tonnes, and 200 tonnes from April 16. The stocks in Huzhou remained unchanged at 16,000 tonnes. Stocks in Nanchang decreased by 300 tonnes to stand at 5,500 tonnes.
Aluminium alloy (A356) price was up by RMB 250 per tonne on Thursday, April 23. The price increased to RMB 13200 per tonne. The price is expected to range at RMB 13150 per tonne-13250 per tonne. The prices of aluminium alloys (ZLD102) and (ZLD104) stood at RMB 13050 per tonne each, up RMB 150 per tonne each.
