
The average alumina spot price in China has decreased for the second day in a row on Wednesday, November 17, found the Shanghai Metals Market. Data shows the price has slipped by RMB 54 per tonne to come in at RMB 3,712 per tonne.

In Shandong, alumina spot price has plunged by RMB 125 per tonne to stand at RMB 3,650 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 3,600 per tonne and RMB 3,700 per tonne. In Henan and Guizhou, alumina price has decreased by RMB 75 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne, respectively, to come in at RMB 3,725 per tonne and RMB 3,660 per tonne. In Guangxi and Shanxi, alumina price has witnessed a decline of RMB 50 per tonne and RMB 25 per tonne to peg at RMB 3,650 per tonne and RMB 3,725 per tonne.
After remaining restrained for almost a month, bauxite (4.5≤Al/Si<5.5) price in Henan and Shanxi has decreased by RMB 12.50 per tonne and RMB 7.50 per tonne to settle at RMB 510 per tonne and RMB 500 per tonne on November 17. The average bauxite price in Henan is expected to range between RMB 500-520 per tonne, while the price in Shanxi is estimated to hover around RMB 490-510 per tonne.

In the backdrop of the decline in input costs, A00 aluminium ingot price has plummeted by RMB 470 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,470 per tonne on Wednesday, November 17. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 18,450 per tonne and RMB 18,490 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 140-100 per tonne, found SMM.
In Foshan, Wuxi, and Hangzhou, A00 aluminium ingot price has also plunged by RMB 470 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,630 per tonne, RMB 18,470 per tonne, and RMB 18,480 per tonne, respectively, while the price in Linyi and Chongqing has shrunk by RMB 490 per tonne and RMB 480 per tonne to close at RMB 18,550 per tonne and RMB 18,510 per tonne.
China’s aluminium alloys prices have also registered downfall on November 17. While aluminium alloy (A356) price has plunged by RMB 400 per tonne to RMB 20,950 per tonne, aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have decreased by RMB 200 per tonne to RMB 20,150 per tonne and RMB 21,350 per tonne, respectively.
