
The average alumina spot price in China has continued to decline for the third day in a row, albeit lower than the previous day, found the Shanghai Metals Market. As per SMM data, the price has decreased by RMB 11 per tonne to stand at RMB 3,701 per tonne on Thursday, November 18.

In Guangxi and Guizhou, alumina price has plummeted by RMB 75 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne to come in at RMB 3,575 per tonne and RMB 3,590 per tonne, while the price in other major Chinese cities has remained restrained. Also, the imported alumina price has recorded no change from US$400 per tonne on November 18.
A00 aluminium ingot price has also extended the downfall for the fourth straight day. According to SMM, the price has shrunk by RMB 130 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,340 per tonne on November 18. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 18,320-18,360 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 140-100 per tonne.

In Shenyang and Gongyi, A00 aluminium ingot price has dwindled by RMB 160 per tonne and RMB 150 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,380 per tonne and RMB 18,350 per tonne, followed by the decrease of RMB 140 per tonne in Chongqing to RMB 18,370 per tonne. In Foshan, Wuxi, and Tianjin, primary aluminium ingot price has lost RMB 130 per tonne to hover around RMB 18,500 per tonne, RMB 18,340 per tonne, and RMB 18,350 per tonne, respectively, while the price in Hangzhou and Linyi has slipped by RMB 120 per tonne to close at RMB 18,360 per tonne and RMB 18,430 per tonne.
Aluminium alloy (A356) price has declined by RMB 100 per tonne on November 18 to settle at RMB 20,850 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 20,800-20,900 per tonne. However, aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have remained muted at RMB 20,150 per tonne and RMB 20,350 per tonne, respectively.
