Canyon Resources, a company focused on bauxite development and exploration for Minim Martap in Cameroon, has announced the appointment of Adjou Ait Ben Idir as its nonexecutive director. Adjou has resumed in this role from July 14, 2025.

Ait Ben Idir has a strong 20+ years of experince as a corporate lawyer in finance and mergers & acquisitions (M&A). She is based in Dubai but has international work experience across Europe and the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Idir's strong corporate profile highlights her specialisation in cross-border M&A, international joint ventures, special situations or boardroom crisis management and privatisation across a myriad of sectors like mining, energy, infrastructure, and transport.
Canyon Resources expects Idir's extensive experience as a leading corporate lawyer in the mining industry would help the firm enhance its strategic growth on operation front in the Middle East and Africa, where Canyon is actively expanding with its project in Cameroon, focusing on the development of its Minim Martap Bauxite Project.
