Bauxite Resource Company updates on market developments and company strategies

Bauxite resources held by BRL along with its partners in various joint ventures have increased to 338 million tonnes. Felicitas bauxite deposits have upgraded to 218.7Mt @ 39.1% Total Al2O3 (30.1 % available @ 148°C), 8.9% SiO2 (1.9% reactive @148°C)
The environmental study on 100% Fortuna Deposit of BRL has commenced. As a part of the company strategy, Bauxite Resources Limited has targeted export of DSO shipments out of Fortuna deposit. The company has discovered many significant new mineralisation in north as well as east Darling range and have displayed available high alumina grade and also low reactive Silica. Since the Indonesian bauxite export ban has been effective, Australian bauxite is sought after by the Chinese refineries as an alternative supply source for a long term.
In an attempt to support the fundamentals, Bauxite Resource Limited has started focusing on its bauxite resources commercial development to supply into direct shipment ore to the international customers.
The Company has four major strategies for its business plan in the coming year:
- Commercialisation of BRL's 100% Fortuna Deposit (and other areas held by BRL)
- Development of the BAJV arrangements to support the development of the Felicitas resource
- Undertake the exploration development work required under the HD Mining joint venture to move into feasibility studies
- Explore acquisition/divestment opportunities to add value to shareholders
