BAGR Berliner Aluminiumwerk GmbH acquires 50% share in Stockach Aluminium GmbH

<p>Effective from January 1 2017, BAGR Berliner Aluminiumwerk GmbH acquired 50% of the shares of Stockach Aluminium GmbH from SSVP III, a Private Equity Fund that is advised by Orlando Management AG.</p> <p><img style="vertical-align: middle; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/BAGR%20Berliner%20Aluminiumwerk%20GmbH.jpg" alt="News" width="517" height="226" /></p> <p>Both companies produce rolling slabs made from secondary aluminium. With locations in Berlin and Stockach, the companies do not only complement each other from a geographical point of view but also with regards to their product portfolio.</p> <p>Stockach Aluminium went through comprehensive restructuring activities over the last six months. Going forward, the shareholders plan to execute selective investments in order to increase the plant&rsquo;s capacity from today&rsquo;s 50,000 tons to an annual capacity of approximately 90,000 tons.</p> <p>With a total slab casting capacity of then 180,000 tons per year, the associated companies will become a leading independent producer of rolling slabs in Europe.</p> <p>{googleAdsense}</p> <p>The combination of the two companies and the expansion of the Stockach plant are intended to further enlarge and improve the range of products and services offered by BAGR and Stockach Aluminium to their customers. To achieve this goal, both companies will cooperate and support each other operationally and strategically.</p> <p>Nonetheless, both companies will preserve their legal independence and their independent market-presence.</p>
