Average alumina spot price in China ascends by RMB14/t to RMB2,850/t; A00 aluminium ingot price gains RMB20/t

On Wednesday, December 7, the average alumina spot price in China went up by RMB 14 to reach RMB 2,850 per tonne. The prices in Shandong, Henan, Shanxi and Guangxi hiked by RMB 15 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,780 per tonne, RMB 2,920 per tonne, RMB 2,895 per tonne and RMB 2,775 per tonne. In Guizhou, the price increased by RMB 10 per tonne to peg at RMB 2,780 per tonne. Only in Lianyungang and Bayuquan, the prices remained restrained at RMB 2,875 per tonne and RMB 2,990 per tonne.

On the same day, the A00 aluminium ingot price has moved up by RMB 20 per tonne to score at RMB 19,430 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 19,410 per tonne and RMB 19,450 per tonne. The spot contract price may be traded at a premium price of RMB 20 to RMB 60 per tonne.

The A00 aluminium ingot price has shown changes in almost all the major provinces. As per the SMM data, the prices in Huzhou, Shenyang and Linyi have ascended by RMB 20 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,440 per tonne, RMB 19,370 per tonne and RMB 19,430 per tonne. In Wuxi, the price recorded a growth of RMB 15 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,415 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the price in Gongyi and Tianjin slumped by RMB 20 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to reside at RMB 19,230 per tonne and RMB 19,430 per tonne. Only in Foshan and Chongqing, the price showed no change to halt at RMB 19,410 per tonne and RMB 19,470 per tonne.

The domestic price of low carbon aluminium in China climbed up by RMB 4 per tonne to close at RMB 20,007 per tonne. The aluminium alloys (ADC12) price, aluminium alloy (A356) price, and aluminium alloy (A380) price reflected no change to record at RMB 19,500 per tonne, RMB 20,600 per tonne and RMB 20,500 per tonne.
