Alumina price in Henan collects RMB20/t; China’s A00 aluminium ingot price plunges by RMB80/t

The averaged alumina price in China has spiked by RMB 14 per tonne, arriving at RMB 2,864 per tonne. The alumina price in Henan has seen RMB 20 per tonne hike, stopping at RMB 2,940 per tonne, while the alumina price in Guizhou has elevated by RMB 15 per tonne, resting at RMB 2,795 per tonne. The alumina prices in Shandong, Shanxi and Guangxi have all raised by RMB 10 per tonne, closing at RMB 2,790 per tonne, RMB 2,905 per tonne, RMB 2,785 per tonne.

A00 aluminium ingot price has slumped by RMB 80 per tonne, resting at RMB 19,350 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on Thursday, December 8. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 19,330 per tonne and RMB 19,370 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at premium prices of RMB 40 per tonne.

The provinces in China all have experienced declining prices today, with aluminium ingot price dropping the highest in Linyi by RMB 130 per tonne, resting at RMB 19,300 per tonne, followed by RMB 100 per tonne plunge in Tianjin, closing at RMB 19,330 per tonne. The price of aluminium in Hangzhou has lost RMB 85 per tonne to halt at RMB 19,355 per tonne. In the provinces like, Gongyi, Foshan, Wuxi and Chongqing the price of aluminium plummeted by RMB 80 per tonne, closing respectively at RMB 19,150 per tonne, RMB 19,330 per tonne, RMB 19,335 per tonne and RMB 19,390 per tonne. Lastly, in Shenyang the aluminium price has fallen by RMB 70 per tonne, halting at RMB 19,300 per tonne.

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has de-escalated by RMB 80 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,927 per tonne on Thursday, December 8.

The prices of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have lost RMB 100 per tonne each closing at RMB 27,300 per tonne and RMB 28,300 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has plunged by RMB 100 per tonne to stop at RMB 20,500 per tonne, with averages ranging between RMB 20,300 per tonne and RMB 20,700 per tonne.

The price of aluminium powder in China has lost RMB 0.10 per kg, stopping at RMB 20.90 per kg with average prices hovering between RMB 20.80 per kg and RMB 21 per kg.
