The Sullivan Senior Center has started an aluminum can collection site to benefit Meals On Wheels.
Your aluminum cans can make a difference in the lives of many seniors who receive Meals On Wheels. During this time of ongoing budget cuts we need to focus on other ways to supplement our budget. Sullivan Senior Center had decided to do that with aluminum can drive.
Some might think, “I usually don’t have enough cans to mess with,” but keep in mind, a couple cans from you, and a couple more from the next person and so on…they all add up to make a BIG difference.
It’s as easy as hanging a plastic bag on a door knob to collect the cans and bringing it to the Senior Center. They are open Mon.-Fri., 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. If you have no way of getting your cans to us, give them a call and they can arrange for someone to pick them up. So the next time you get ready to throw away an aluminum can, remember…“I can help the Meals on Wheels with this can!”
