
According to Shanghai Metals Market, the inventories of aluminium billet in China have recorded a fall this week after straight four weeks of increase. Data shows the stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas are standing at 112,400 tonnes after declining by 700 tonnes, as of Thursday, September 26. On last Thursday, September 19, the billet inventories were at 113,100 tonnes after rising by some 6,000 tonnes week-on-week.

The inventories in Foshan, Guangdong have dropped by 3,300 tonnes from last Thursday to stand at 52,000 tonnes, while that in Wuxi, Jiangsu and Changzhou, Jiangsu have plunged by 400 tonnes and 1,000 tonnes to come in at 20,800 tonnes and 12,000 tonnes respectively. In Nanchang, Jiangxi, on the other hand, the billet inventories have increased by 4,000 tonnes to climb up to 15,600 tonnes and remained restrained at 12,000 tonnes in Huzhou, Zhejiang.
Prices of Aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380), however, remained restrained at RMB 14,150 per tonne and RMB 15,000 per tonne, and aluminium alloy (A356) price dropped by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 14,900 per tonne, on muted demand and trading.
