Aluminium billet inventories in China grew last week ended on Friday, October 8, by 19,500 tonnes across five major consumption areas, found the Shanghai Metals Market. That brought the aluminium billet stocks to 177,000 tonnes, primarily contributed by the inventory growth in Foshan.
The increase in aluminium billet inventories is mainly due to falling demand amid suspended production for the National Day holiday.
