According to the Shanghai Metals Market, aluminium billet inventories in China escalate by 13,800 tonnes week-on-week across five major consumption areas. As a result, the inventories settled at 85,500 tonnes as of Thursday, December9.
Only in Nanchang, inventories fell by 2,900 tonnes, or 21.82 percent, from Thursday, December 2. The inventories of the other four key markets all increased, with Foshan accounting for the most of the 8,500 tonnes rise (35.42 percent). The rise in weekly inventories was mostly due to additional aluminium billet deliveries and slow downstream demand.
