Alumina spot price in China slips by RMB 11/t to RMB 2,822/t; A00 aluminium ingot price descends to RMB 18,500/t
On Monday, October 17, the average alumina spot price in China went down by RMB 11 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,822 per tonne. The price in Bayuquan has descended by RMB 50 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,925 per tonne. On the same day, in Shandong, the alumina price slipped by RMB 20 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,780 per tonne.
In Henan and Lianyungang, the prices slumped by RMB 15 per tonne to record RMB 2,895 per tonne and RMB 2,910 per tonne. In Guizhou and Shanxi, the alumina price dipped by RMB 10 per tonne and RMB 5 per tonne to score at RMB 2,800 per tonne and RMB 2,775 per tonne. Only in Guangxi, the price remained restrained to close at RMB 2,800 per tonne.
As per the SMM data, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price dropped by RMB 200 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,500 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 18,480 per tonne and RMB 18,520 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 200 per tonne and RMB 160 per tonne. In Hangzhou, the price declined by RMB 190 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,520 per tonne.
Foshan and Chongqing settled at RMB 18,540 per tonne and RMB 18,610 per tonne after witnessing a price cut of RMB 180 per tonne. In Gongyi, the price has gone down by RMB 170 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,380 per tonne. On the same day, Tianjin and Linyi witnessed a drop of RMB 130 per tonne and RMB 140 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,550 per tonne and RMB 18,560 per tonne. The price in Shenyang slumped by RMB 100 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,550 per tonne.
As per the data, aluminium alloy (A356) price has plunged by RMB200 per tonne to halt at RMB 20,000 per tonne. The average price for the same is likely to range between RMB 19,900 per tonne and RMB 20,100 per tonne. Aluminium alloy (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price has decreased by RMB 50 per tonne to score at RMB 19,450 per tonne and RMB 20,450 per tonne. The average price for aluminium alloy (ADC12) is likely between RMB 19,350 per tonne and RMB 19,550 per tonne. The average prices for aluminium alloy (A380) are expected to orbit between RMB 20,350 per tonne and RMB 20,550 per tonne.
Australian alumina FOB price has dipped by US$10 per tonne to settle at US$310 per tonne. The price of aluminium powder has inched down by RMB 0.2 per kg to halt at RMB 20.4 per kg, with the average prices likely to range between RMB 20.3 per kg to RMB 20.5 per kg.
