Alumina spot price in China sheds RMB3/t marking eighth day of fall; A00 aluminium ingot price plunges by RMB310/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has nosedived by RMB 310 per tonne to close at RMB 17,960 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on Wednesday, September 28. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 17,940 per tonne and RMB 17,980 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at discount prices of RMB 60 per tonne and RMB 20 per tonne.

The provinces in China have witnessed de-escalating prices today, with A00 aluminium ingot price declining the highest in Foshan by RMB 310 per tonne to RMB 17,980 per tonne, followed by RMB 300 per tonne drop in Wuxi and Hangzhou to RMB 17,960 per tonne and RMB 17,990 per tonne. The price of aluminium in Linyi has decreased by RMB 280 per tonne, stopping at RMB 18,040 per tonne, while in Gongyi and Shenyang, the aluminium prices have plunged by RMB 270 per tonne to rest at RMB 17,960 per tonne and RMB 18,000 per tonne. The price of aluminium in Tianjin has lost RMB 200 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,090 per tonne. The aluminium price in Chongqing has plummeted by RMB 190 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,310 per tonne. 

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has shed RMB 310 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,578 per tonne on Wednesday, September 28.

According to the data shown by SMM, high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have downsized by RMB 300 per tonne to stand at RMB 26,200 per tonne and RMB 27,200 per tonne, respectively.

The averaged alumina price in China has lost RMB 3 per tonne coming in at RMB 2,869 per tonne on September 28. The alumina price in Shandong, Henan and Guangxi have all slumped by RMB 5 per tonne to close at RMB 2,845 per tonne, RMB 2,935 per tonne and RMB 2,840 per tonne. 

The aluminium alloy (A356) price has dwindled down the graph by RMB 300 per tonne arriving at RMB 19,350 per tonne. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 19,200 per tonne and RMB 19,500 per tonne, says SMM.

The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have dropped by RMB 100 per tonne closing in at RMB 19,100 per tonne and RMB 20,100 per tonne. 

The aluminium powder price in China has decreased by RMB 0.30 per kg to settle at RMB 20 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 19.90 per kg and 20.10 per kg.
