Alfiniti, Inc., a manufacturer of precision drawn tubing, announces the installation of a 2700mt extrusion press at its facility in Winton, NC. The press, complete with extrusion handling system and coilers, will produce extruded profiles, coiled tubing, and micro-channel extrusions for the automotive and HVAC markets as well as extrusion for internal demand. Mr. James, president of Alfiniti Precision Tube, says that of particular note is that this installation utilizes a press, billet heater and shear, and handling system produced in China and represents the first Chinese press installation in the US.
The short lead-time (press shipped 8 months after receipt of order), use of familiar, high quality components (Allan-Bradley, Oilgear, Siemens, etc.), and very significant cost savings allowed the company to justify the investment which would not have been possible otherwise.
