Alfiniti Inc. acquires USA’s sole aluminium welded tube manufacturer, Alabama Tube Corporation

Alfiniti Inc. has made a significant stride in solidifying its position as a premier provider in the aluminium tube industry with the recent acquisition of Alabama Tube Corporation. This strategic move underscores Alfiniti's commitment to diversifying its product line and enhancing its capabilities to meet the evolving needs of its clientele.

Alfiniti Inc. now stands uniquely positioned in the market as the sole U.S. manufacturer of welded aluminium tubes, bolstering its ability to offer a comprehensive range of aluminium tube products. This acquisition reaffirms the company's dedication to supporting domestic manufacturing and ensuring the availability of locally sourced aluminium tube products.

Enhanced product portfolio

The Managing Director of Alfiniti Inc., Steve James, stated: "This acquisition is part of Alfiniti's longer-term strategic plan to be a one-stop shop for extruded, welded, and drawn aluminium tube and pipe in addition to the fabrication and finishing services needed by our customers. There remain significant opportunities for us to grow the product line as we look at increasing the selection of alloys/temper, size ranges, fabrication and finishing services, coiled tubing availability, and other areas." 

The acquisition enables Alfiniti Inc. to broaden its offerings by incorporating welded tube manufacturing in-house. This expansion not only enriches the company's product portfolio but also facilitates the provision of high-quality welded tube solutions to its customers.

The VP of sales for Alfiniti Inc., Steven Bellemare, asserted: "This acquisition provides our customers with another tubing solution – welded tube is intermediate in price between extruded and drawn tubing with significantly better tolerances than extruded tubing. While the welded tube is not able to provide the varied range of characteristics and formulation of the drawn tube, it is a perfect solution for many of our customers. Our full-service partnerships for fabrication, anodizing, and painting will also be available in all our plants, allowing a one-stop solution whether the end use requires extruded, welded, or drawn tube." 

The Operations Manager of Alabama Tube, Randy Pecaut, claimed: "We at Alabama Tube are very excited to be a part of Alfiniti Inc. With this acquisition, Alfiniti covers all sources of aluminium tubes, extrusion, drawing, and welding. This also opens up new areas for Alabama Tube, and we are ready for the challenge."
