Alcobond Manufacturing launched
Alcobond claimed the company is experiencing fast and sustained growth with many prestigious contracts despite global recession. The company has established a large export market in over 20 countries within a short span of time, and is now focusing on its rapidly growing UAE market. Alcobond’s new factory possesses a current installed capacity of 1.2 million sqm per annum, which will be increased to 3 million sqm per annum in 2012, as sales cross 1 million sqm by the end of 2011.
The directors leveraged their over 35 years of experience in construction and industry in Dubai to launch the company on a fast track to growth, investing an initial Dh35 million in the venture, with plans for further investment in expansion. The company is on a secure financial footing because of the management’s firm belief in equity financing rather than leverage.
“The areas of growth by and large will remain in the Middle East, South and Central Asia, North Africa and the Far East. We believe that Dubai, due to its strategic geographic location, good governance and open investor friendly policies is in an ideal position to serve all these areas,” Alcobond’s managing director and chief executive officer Naseem Ghori said in the statement.
