A00 aluminium ingot price stands highest this year at RMB15740/t; Aluminium alloy (A356) price expands by RMB150/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has increased further for the fourth day in a row by RMB 140 per tonne to RMB 15,740 per tonne amid muted input costs on Tuesday, February 9, found the Shanghai Metals Market. This marks the highest price since the beginning of 2021. According to SMM, the average prices are expected to range between RMB 15,720 per tonne and RMB 15,760 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 70-30 per tonne.

Shenyang has seen the highest growth in primary aluminium ingot price of RMB 210 per tonne to RMB 15,730 per tonne, followed by the surge of RMB 180 per tonne in Wuxi, Hangzhou, and Chongqing to stand at RMB 15,740 per tonne, 15,760 per tonne, and RMB 15,785 per tonne, respectively. In Tianjin and Linyi, A00 aluminium ingot price has climbed by RMB 170 per tonne and RMB 135 per tonne to come in at RMB 15,650 per tonne and RMB 15,675 per tonne, while the price in Foshan and Gongyi has increased by RMB 120 per tonne and RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 15,740 per tonne and RMB 15,550 per tonne, respectively.

Aluminium alloy (A356) price has grown by RMB 150 per tonne to settle at RMB 16,450 per tonne on Tuesday, February 9, according to SMM. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 16,400 per tonne and RMB 16,500 per tonne.

However, the prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have remained restrained at RMB 17,050 per tonne and RMB 17,950 per tonne, respectively, on February 9.

Among the primary aluminium raw materials, the price of aluminium powder has only recorded a change. It has grown by RMB 0.10 per kg to come in at RMB 19.25 per kg on February 9, learned SMM.
